⚽ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵

The photos show the pitch right before the infill stage - the carpet fully installed, fibres still lying flat, seams visible and the surface looking lighter in colour. It looks complete, but it’s not yet ready for play.

What happens at this stage:

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱
Seams are joined and the surface is laid out smoothly - just like in the pics before any infill is added.

𝗣𝗿𝗲-𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀
We inspect seams, tension, lines and any imperfections while everything is still accessible.

𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴
Fibres will be lifted upright to open the pile (the photos show them before this first brush).

𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀
Perimeter areas and line inserts are tidied for a clean, accurate finish.

Why this matters:
✔ Ensures consistency
✔ Allows corrections before the surface is locked in
✔ Helps infill spread evenly
✔ Improves long-term performance

Next up:
• Sand - for weight, longevity of the surface and to keep fibres upright - ensuring consistent play.
• Rubber - for comfort and shock absorption, preventing injury and giving the surface a natural playing feel.

Synthetic Sports Pitch – Ireland Project Complete

We’re proud to have completed the installation of a 3,000m² synthetic sports surface in Ireland, delivering a high-quality pitch built for long-term performance.

Project Overview:
✅ 3,000m² synthetic pitch installation
✅ 50mm dual fibre hybrid synthetic surface laid on 10mm Vita Shockpad
✅ Full football line markings completed
✅ Full infill applied: 45 tonnes of sand and 42 tonnes of SBR
✅ Delivered to a high standard with a clean, consistent finish

A huge thank you to @sispitchesireland for their support and collaboration throughout this project.

This surface provides excellent durability, player comfort and reliable all-weather performance, supported by a shock-absorbing base and a precise infill system.

A fantastic effort from the Poly UP team from start to finish.

Our Managing Director, Lewis Nickson, has been invited to speak at the annual Diamond Ball, in aid of The Arete Foundation and The King’s Trust, held at the truly spectacular St George’s Hall in Liverpool on 4th December.
