The project involved carefully preserving the garden’s Victorian charm while upgrading the pathway to a low-maintenance, water-permeable resin surface.

Poly Up was commissioned to restore a 100-square-meter garden pathway for a private residential client in Southport. The goal was to transform an overgrown and outdated tarmac path into a stunning feature that complemented the Victorian charm of the property. The project required a durable, low-maintenance, and visually appealing solution that preserved the surrounding garden’s natural beauty.

The clients, avid gardeners with a passion for their home’s aesthetics, required:

Our Approach

The pathway was surrounded by mature trees with extensive roots, requiring careful excavation to prevent damage. The client also requested a unique design inspired by a “yellow brick road” while maintaining water permeability to protect the garden’s ecosystem.

Poly Up began by hand-digging the site to avoid harming tree roots. Then, a geotextile membrane was installed to stabilise the base. The team used a custom yellow resin blend for the surface, creating a vibrant yet elegant pathway. Victorian-inspired charcoal edging was added to enhance the traditional aesthetic.
