Synthetic Pitch Installation – Blackburn
We previously completed a 4,500m² synthetic sports pitch in Blackburn, delivering a high-quality playing surface with full line markings and a finish built for long-term performance.

Resin Bound Surface Improvement
Poly UP were called to improve a resin bound surface. On this project, the original installation had no sub-base, meaning the resin bound gravel was laid directly onto the structure. As a result, the surface was fully porous, allowing water to leak through which could contribute to rusting and structural deterioration.
The client asked us to seal the surface to eliminate porosity, reduce water penetration and help protect the structure beneath.
Our team carried out a full preparation and applied a specialist resin bound pore filler to stabilise and seal the existing system.
Work Completed:
✅ Full jet wash of the entire area
✅ Removal of all rubbish, loose aggregates and pre-existing debris
✅ Installation of a resin bound pore filler to strengthen and fully seal the surface
Pore fillers are an effective way to revive failed or compromised resin bound systems. They help bind loose stones, improve structural integrity, seal the surface and extend its lifespan without needing a full replacement.
